About me
I’m so glad you’ve found me and I’m honoured to be a resource for you in these changing times.
Hello and welcome!
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Medoc Perry and I am originally from Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. I grew up in a rural area on the Kaimai ranges, next to the Wairoa river and close to the Pacific Ocean. In my adult years I have spent time living in the USA, the UK and New Zealand. I have most recently been living in Seattle and Whidbey Island in Washington State, and I am currently travelling and exploring for a new place to call home.
On my mother’s side, my grandparents are from Minnesota, USA. On my father’s side, my grandparents are from Chatham, England. I grew up as a child of immigrant parents in New Zealand with limited connection to extended family which may explain why ancestral work has appealed to me so much.
I’ve been fascinated by human behavior, wellness and spirituality my whole life. Even as a young child I was deeply aware of others and curious about how to help people.
I believe that when each of us transforms and raises our vibration even a little bit, then we support the changes we want to see in the world.
I completed a BA in Psychology at Victoria University and have been practicing and studying various forms of holistic healing, consciousness and wellbeing practices since 2005. This has included: BodyTalk, Breakthrough, Freefall, Mindscape, Reiki, Hakomi, Family Constellations, Life Coaching, Progoff Journalling, The Work of Byron Katie, Vipassana, clutter clearing, clairvoyance, plant medicine and spirit journeying.
I’m a certified BodyTalk practitioner, certified Life Coach, certified Hakomi practitioner and certified Reiki practitioner, as well as an International Family Constellations workshop facilitator. I have been seeing clients for over 15 years. Though, please note, I am not a licensed therapist.
I'm a longterm SGI Buddhist who is deeply committed to doing my own personal development work. Over the years I have become deeply comfortable with myself and working with others. Although too many to mention here, I am grateful for the many teachers, guides and friends who have influenced and supported me.
Having grown up in a rural area, I have a strong connection to land and nature and a deep sense of groundedness that influences my work with clients. I like to have a good laugh. I love a good coffee. I appreciate beauty and a clutter free space and mind. I treasure my friends and family, and can often be found walking and taking photographs in nature. The photographs on this website are my own.
